The Samyang AF 12mm F2.0 E is the perfect wide-angle lens for astrophotography on APS-C sensors! The wide 99.1° angle of view allows you to capture entire constellations and large parts of the Milky Way. The fast open aperture of F2.0 allows the lens to be used even in difficult lighting conditions, which is elementary for astrophotography.
The wide angle of view gives you plenty of creative freedom. Mountain ranges, landscapes, lakes, and forests can be captured with just one click. Thanks to the high speed, this lens is also suitable for interiors and architecture. This lens is the only one of this focal length for APS-C cameras that are equipped with weather protection. The so-called Samyang Weather Sealing allows you to capture great motifs even in adverse conditions. The rubber lips in the lens and around the mount prevent dust and splash water from entering, so you can work in snowfall and drizzle or in dusty environments without any problems.
Video recordings with continuous focus tracking are therefore effortless and succeed without annoying noises from the focus drive
The closest focusing distance of this lens is only 19 cm, which allows you to shoot and focus on close objects even in tight situations
