Product Description
Stacked CMOS sensor with minimal rolling shutter distortion
The Nikon Z8 incorporates the same stacked CMOS sensor featuring 45.7 effective megapixels as the Z 9. The world’s fastest. Scanning speed makes it possible to minimize rolling-shutter distortion while eliminating the need for a mechanical shutter.
Crisp Shots
The Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera Body Only comes with a 45.7MP stacked type sensor with minimal rolling shutter to deliver a large image area for your shots, impressive low-light shooting performance, and a wide ISO range of 64-25,600 20fps (120fps in JPEG mode).
Focus More
Employing 493 AF points, the Nikon Z8 accurately brings fast-moving subjects into focus, so you get to capture them with impressive clarity. Moreover, the camera offers variable AF area modes to adapt to different subjects and settings.
Be Your Own Director
Offering a suite of video shooting functions, the Z8 Camera lets you capture 8.3K footage @60p. With support for an external microphone (not included), you can also create realistic movies accompanied with stereo sound.
Bring the Adventure to Life
The Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera has 5-axis stabilization featuring a high-precision stabilizing unit to easily compensate for various camera shakes even when using different lenses. It's also resistant to water and dust penetration, so you can capture your adventures across diverse outdoor settings.
Exquisite image-processing – Expeed 7 Processor.
The Z 8 is equipped with Nikon’s most advanced image-processing engine, EXPEED 7. It processes a vast amount of data and enables next-generation features like the Real-Live Viewfinder, powerful AF, 120fps Pre-Release Capture, High-Efficiency RAW, in-camera 8.3K/60p N-RAW, 4K UHD/120p, and more.
Groundbreaking subject detection and AF performance - even better than before
The powerful AF algorithm automatically detects and tracks nine subject types — people (eye, face, head, upper body), dogs, cats, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trains, and planes. The detection performance in dimly lit situations, such as indoors and at sunsets, has also been enhanced. Together with fast AF calculation and constant, rapid communication between the camera body and the NIKKOR Z lenses, the Z 8 offers high AF performance in a variety of shooting scenes.
Dual card slots give you the options to suit your needs
The Z 8 has two card slots, which give you a choice according to your shooting needs. One slot takes industry-leading CFexpress Type B cards, excellent for fast reading/writing of heavy stills or video data. This slot also accepts XQD memory cards. The second slot takes the more widely available SD (UHS-II) cards, which have a great balance of writing speed and cost.
Extended recording up to 125 min. in 4K UHD/60p*1 and up to 90 min. in 8K UHD/30p*2
The Z 8 enables extended recording up to 125 min. in 4K UHD/60p and up to 90 min. in 8K UHD/30p without overheating. With its smaller and lighter body than the Z 9, it is suitable for demanding all-day weddings and long, fly-on-the-wall documentaries.
12-bit or 10-bit professional-level video options — all in-camera
Whatever you are shooting, you can achieve maximum creative potential with high-quality grading possibilities. The Z 8 records pristine 12-bit ProRes RAW HQ, Nikon’s proprietary N-RAW video, or 10-bit ProRes 422 HQ internally — no external device is required. Full HD proxy files are simultaneously created in-camera when shooting in ProRes RAW and N-RAW, which makes editing the footage a smoother process. Furthermore, you can shoot in N-Log for any of the 12-bit and 10-bit in-camera codecs to get more control over the look of your final footage.
12-bit N-RAW for 8.3K 60p streamlines high-end video production
Nikon’s groundbreaking N-RAW* video format packs all the depth and detail of 12-bit RAW into a file that is half the size of ProRes RAW HQ files. You can work with 8.3K/60p, 5.4K/60p (DX format), 4.1K/120p, or 4K UHD/120p (2.3x crop) footage in compatible editing software to create 8K or 4K video outputs in both DCI and UHD formats. Furthermore, 8K footage gives you the freedom to crop, zoom, and track in post, while still being able to output your finished video in 4K.

Tips for protecting your children online
In today's digital age, ensuring your children's safety while they browse the internet is paramount. As they explore the vast online world through smartphones, gaming consoles, laptops, and other devices, it's essential to implement measures to shield them from potentially harmful content and interactions. Here are some tips to help you safeguard your children online:
1. Communication is Key
Open and ongoing communication with your children about online safety is crucial. Discuss the potential dangers they may encounter online, such as pornography, cyberbullying, and violent content. Encourage them to come to you with any concerns or questions they may have.
2. Set Clear Boundaries
Establish clear rules and boundaries regarding internet usage. Define appropriate time limits for browsing and specify which websites and apps are off-limits. Make sure your children understand the consequences of violating these rules. You can also restrict some of these apps or online content utilising device level parental controls explained below.
3. Utilise Parental Controls
Take advantage of the parental control features available on devices and internet browsers. These controls allow you to block access to specific websites, set age-appropriate content filters, and monitor your children's online activities. Familiarise yourself with the parental control options on smartphones, gaming consoles, and laptops to effectively manage your children's online experiences.
4. Educate Yourself
Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies related to online safety. Familiarise yourself with popular social media platforms, gaming communities, and messaging apps that your children may use, including the functions they provide. This knowledge will help you understand the potential risks and take appropriate action to protect your children.
5. Monitor Their Online Activities
Regularly monitor your children's online activities to ensure they are adhering to the rules and staying safe. Keep an eye on their browsing history, social media interactions, and messaging apps. Be vigilant for any signs of cyberbullying or exposure to inappropriate content.
6. Encourage Safe Online Behavior
Teach your children about the importance of practicing safe online behavior. Remind them never to share personal information, such as their full name, address, or phone number, with strangers online. Encourage them to think critically about the content they encounter and to report anything that makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
7. Lead by Example
Be a positive role model for your children by demonstrating responsible and respectful online behavior yourself. Show them how to navigate the internet safely and responsibly, and emphasize the importance of treating others with kindness and empathy online.
8. Reporting abuse, making complaints and finding more information
For additional resources and guidance on online safety, visit the Australian e-Safety Commissioner's website at www.esafety.gov.au. Here, you'll find a wealth of information, including tips for parents, educational resources for children, and tools for reporting online abuse and harassment.
You can also report abuse through the website’s online form.
By following these tips and utilising available resources, you can help keep your children safe from pornography, cyberbullying, violent content, and other unsafe material while they navigate the internet. Remember, proactive measures and open communication are key to fostering a safe and positive online environment for your family.
