Nikon Z 24 200mm F4 6.3 VR Lens

The NIKKOR Z 24-200mm F4-6.3 VR is an all-in-one zoom lens designed for Nikon Z mount mirrorless cameras. Its 24-200mm focal-length range covers wide-angle, standard and telephoto perspectives, making it suitable for landscapes, architecture, travel, street photography, portraits and distant subjects.

Versatile 24 to 200mm zoom range

The broad 24-200mm range provides flexibility for photographing both wide scenes and distant subjects without changing lenses. When used with a DX-format camera or DX crop mode, the field of view corresponds to approximately 36-300mm.

Vibration reduction

Built-in optical Vibration Reduction helps reduce the effects of camera shake. Nikon specifies an image-stabilisation effect equivalent to up to 5.0 stops under its stated test conditions.

Autofocus performance

The lens uses an STM stepping motor for autofocus. Its internal focusing design helps maintain a compact lens profile while focusing, and Nikon also specifies features intended to support quiet operation during video recording.

Optical construction

The optical system contains 19 elements in 15 groups, including two ED glass elements, one aspherical ED glass element and two aspherical lens elements. ARNEO Coat is used to help reduce ghosting and flare.

Close focusing

Minimum focusing distance varies by focal length, from approximately 0.5 m at 24mm to 0.7 m at 200mm. The maximum reproduction ratio is 0.28x.

Lens coatings

The lens features ARNEO Coat and a fluorine-coated front lens element. Nikon also describes the construction as designed with dust- and drip-resistant performance in mind.

Seven blade aperture

A seven-blade rounded diaphragm provides the lens aperture mechanism and supports controlled depth of field across the zoom range.

Nikon Z mount compatibility

The lens uses the Nikon Z mount and is compatible with FX and DX format Nikon Z cameras. On DX-format bodies, the field of view changes compared with full-frame use.
